This week we really dove into our new central idea. Last week we looked at different lives if children around the world and this we broke into small groups to look at 4 children in depth. The groups read about a child's life and worked together to create a presentation about the child, similar to the one they will do at the end of the unit.
We continued our work with graphing - this week focusing on different scales. We created a graph together as a class, first. The students collected data and then created graphs with different scales, but the same information.
We worked with long o sounds this week. We have completed a sound, students are responsible for spelling words with those sounds correctly in writing, using clues like the o in boat.
Next week is full of fun as well!! Check back for information about our final project and how you can help your child prepare.
